Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bang for the Buck I asked the owner of Maven Glove Balm, which gloves he thought gave the best bang for the buck. This Miken Gold Pro was among his top few. Since he has literally handled and broken in 100's of gloves, I respected his opinion. After having this glove for a couple weeks, I can honestly agree. It has a great feel without too much padding in the palm area, which has been my issue with my last few gloves. I love how quickly I was able to break in and I look forward to a long relationship with the Miken brand and the Pro model. This compares and actually exceeds some much more expensive gloves that I have used. I wasn't sure I would like the gold, but it just seems to work. I read a few reviews prior to buying that said it was very hard to break-in. Any good glove requires a good break-in, and this leather is a good quality and does require a thorough beating. By adding a glove conditioner like Maven Glove Balm I expect this glove to last a very long time.
